Soapopular's fragrance-free, dye-free formula is applied using a convenient foaming applicator that everybody loves, and does not leave the "sticky residue" that is common to alcohol-based products.

Soapopular kills a broad spectrum of common germs and viruses that may cause illness and specific germ kill has been successfully demonstrated in independent laboratory tests of common bacteria, viruses and fungi.

The FDA DOES NOT CURRENTLY PERMIT MAKERS OF INSTANT HAND SANITIZER TO "ADVERTISE" SPECIFIC EFFICACY CLAIMS WITH REGARD TO SPECIFIC TYPE(S)OF PATHOGENS due to FDA concern that consumers will presume that the particular illness caused by these germs will be completely prevented through use of the product. INDEPENDENT LAB STUDIES PERTAINING TO SPECIFIC PATHOGENS CAN BE PROVIDED UPON REQUEST.

Because germs can be spread in a number of ways, NO MAKER OF OTC HAND SANITIZER PRODUCTS CAN PROVIDE COMPLETE GUARANTEES. That said, we maintain that proper hand hygiene is one of the most important tools to prevent the spread of illness. This is why the CDC and various other organizations recommend hand-washing or use of appropriate hand sanitizer, when soap and water are not available.

Soapopular® brand sanitizers contain the germ-killing ingredient Benzalkonium (ben-zal-coney-um) Chloride (a/k/a BAC). This antiseptic has been used for over 50 years in a wide variety of consumer health care and beauty products (e.g. "Bactine" antiseptic, J&J's "Bandaid" foaming antiseptic, and is approved for safety and effectiveness in many antiseptic applications, including minor scrapes and cuts.
